Elscott Manufacturing Has Achieved ISO 9001:2008 Certification
ELLSWORTH, Maine (January 17, 2009)- Elscott Manufacturing’s quality management system was recently awarded certification under the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001:2008 program for its manufacturing facilities in Maine.
"This ISO 9001:2008 achievement shows Elscott Manufacturing's continued commitment to excellence in manufacturing and assembly of high quality products for military and commercial markets," stated Will Taylor, General Manager. "Maintaining a quality management system that complies with the ISO 9001:2008 standard, will be an integral asset as Elscott Manufacturing sustains its growth as one of Maine's premier contract manufacturers."
The ISO 9001:2008 standard is a set of universal requirements for management systems to maintain the process of implementing product quality and customer service throughout the entire business spectrum. Through extensive internal and external audits, Elscott Manufacturing has demonstrated that its Quality Management System (QMS) meets and maintains the requirements of ISO 9001:2008.
